About Seventh-day Adventists
Adventists believe a Trinity of three persons--the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit--make up one God. They made salvation possible when Jesus, the Son, came to earth as a baby in Bethlehem and lived a sinless life in accordance with the Father's will. About Our Pastor

Pastor John Rengifo and his family arrived to Shady Point in March, 2014.  Originally from California, he recommitted his life to Jesus Christ at the age of 22 after some turbulent teen and young adult years.  In the year 2000, he enrolled in a 4 month Bible and evangelism training course at AFCOE (Amazing Facts College of Evangelism).  After its completion, he sensed God was calling him to full-time ministry.  He studied at Southern Adventist University where he met his lovely wife, Denny, and were married in 2005.  His first post of duty was in Pennsylvania Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. They both completed their MDiv at Andrews University Theological Seminary, Berrien Springs, Mich. in 2009.  From there he returned to Pennsylvania where he served as pastor of a three-church district for four years before receiving the call to Oregon.  Together, he and Denny have three children, Sophia, Jasmine and Benjamin.  Pastor John enjoys biking, basketball, tennis, reading, playing guitar and most of all, leading people into a vibrant relationship with his best friend Jesus.
